Artist Statement
Within the natural elements of water and sky I find nearly everything I need to compose and create paintings filled with reflection, movement, color, depth, light and atmosphere. This inspiration along with a desire to keep my message simple and clear result in paintings of the world that feel peaceful and beautiful.
In very simple terms I make art because it allows me to be most nearly myself. In the creation of my art I communicate my fundamental range of emotion and expression. It is the foundation upon which I share how I see the world around me. My studio with its smell of paint, the familiar clutter and the invitation to begin anew is the door to my creative world.
